Sidebar section order is saved per project. The reorderable sections are Todos, Agents, Terminals, Commands, and Scratchpads, subject to your sidebar visibility settings.
How to reorder
- Click and hold a section header — the row showing the section name and chevron.
- Drag it up or down.
- A drop indicator shows where the section will land.
- Release to place it.
Sections snap into position when you let go. The reorder takes effect immediately.
Reordering is unavailable while the sidebar filter is active or another overlay is open. Hidden empty sections and disabled Todos/Scratchpads sections can't be dragged until they're visible again.
What moves with the section
Everything inside the section moves with it. Reordering sections doesn't affect the order of items within each section. Solo also reorders the project's process list to keep process-backed sections consistent with the new section order.
Default order
New projects start from the default subgroup order, currently Todos -> Agents -> Terminals -> Commands -> Scratchpads. The preferred default can be changed in Sidebar settings. Changing it applies the new order to existing projects and replaces their saved section order.
Persistence
Section order is saved locally per project. It isn't shared via solo.yml — each team member sets their own preferred order.
