By default, Cmd+T on macOS or Ctrl+T on Windows and Linux opens Solo's new-item palette for quickly creating something in the active project. You can remap or disable this shortcut in Settings > Hotkeys.
Depending on your project and enabled features, you can:
- Create a new command
- Create a new terminal
- Create an agent, including custom flags when available
- Create or import a scratchpad
- Create a todo
When you are focused on an agent, Cmd+T defaults to selecting the same type of agent. For example, if you're using a Codex agent and hit Cmd+T, the default selection in the palette is Codex.
The picker requires an active project. It does not mix in rename, navigation, or application actions.
Agent-only picker
When a project's Agents section is empty, clicking Add agent can open a narrower version of the New picker. If the project has several runnable agent tools, this picker shows only the available agents and their custom-flags variants. If exactly one agent tool is available, Solo starts it directly instead.
