The sidebar shows visual indicators next to each command so you can see its current state at a glance.
Common states
- Running – the command is currently executing.
- Starting – the command is in the process of launching.
- Stopping – the command is shutting down.
- Stopped – the command isn't running.
- Failed – the command exited unsuccessfully, or Solo could not launch or poll it.
Important
- Trust state is separate from run-state indicators. An untrusted command has its own distinct visual treatment.
- A command whose crash auto-restart has paused after repeated crashes shows a separate exhausted auto-restart indicator when its effective notification level is Important or All; None suppresses that indicator.
- Notification/read-state indicators (for example, unread notification activity) are also separate from lifecycle state.
- The terminal output view and sidebar lifecycle state update through separate paths, so they can temporarily appear out of sync.
