Try Hard Studios, LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), the maker of Solo, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application.

Information We Collect

Solo is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information necessary to provide our services:

• Account information (email address) when you purchase a license
• License validation data including a hashed device identifier, app version, and platform information to verify your subscription
• Anonymous usage analytics collected via Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service
• Automatic update and notification checks that transmit your app version, platform, and a hashed device identifier to our servers
• Technical error and diagnostic information sent to Sentry when error reporting is available

Local Data Storage

All your project configurations, process settings, and application preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your project files, terminal outputs, or any code you work with.

Developer Tools and Auto-Summaries

Solo launches the third-party agent CLIs and development tools you configure. Those tools may communicate with their own providers according to their settings, accounts, and privacy policies. Solo does not broker those accounts or collect their credentials.

If you enable auto-summarization, Solo sends a compact rendered-text snapshot of recent terminal activity to the summarizer tool you select. This request runs through that local CLI and its configured provider; it is not sent to Solo's analytics or application servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Solo application
• Verify your license and subscription status
• Send important updates about the application
• Improve our product based on anonymous usage patterns

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted third-party services to operate Solo:

• Aptabase for anonymous usage analytics
• Stripe for payment processing
• Bento for email communications
• Sentry for error reporting

These services only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function. We may also share anonymous, aggregated data for analytical purposes.

Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
