Solo's free tier lets you use every part of the app without a paid license, with limits on projects and managed processes.
Activating a license
Once you've purchased a license, you can activate it directly inside Solo.
Team licenses
Team licensing is centralized billing plus claim-link distribution. It is not a full seat-management system.
Moving a license to another machine
Solo licenses are tied to a device ID. If you're switching machines, deactivate on the old machine first, then activate on the new one.

Solo

Solo is the programmable meta-harness for coding agents that runs every CLI harness beside your dev stack and gives agents shared processes, scratchpads, todos, and control through MCP, HTTP, or the Solo CLI.

Built by Aaron Francis, dad to two sets of twins, creator of faster.dev, and creator of Database School. He built Solo after running Claude Code alongside his dev stack and juggling nine terminal tabs.
